Yamoya is in Coffs Harbour

A long trip of 14 hours with the weather windier than expected. We were expecting a mild southerly sea of 1-1.5 metres with 10 kn winds reaching 15 kn for a few hours in the afternoon. This sent Sonja to her “passage” bunk for nearly the whole trip. The only thing that brought her out was the large pod of dolphins that joined us for awhile. By mid afternoon and for the next four hours until reaching Coffs we had 20-25 kn winds, with combined NE and SE swells of about 2 m. While not dangerous or concerning, the confused sea made it uncomfortable.

There must be something about the movement of a boat through the water that they like. We often see them some way off change direction and head towards us, when we’re underway. But when the boat is stationary they completely ignore it.
