Installing the Engine

Our engine arrived some time ago, and was promptly put into the boat, just to see how it looked.

Engine Room Fitted

The photo to the left shows the engine room, now fitted with the other equipment. There’s still a bit of work to go: installing the electrics, fuel lines, exhaust, water, etc. (The big black hose you can see isn’t really meant to be there – I was too lazy to take it out of the photo.) The photo is taken from the aft cabin, looking forward. Eventually, the engine room will be hidden and sound-proofed behind timber panelling. Entry will be down through the pilothouse.
