Pre-painting Job List

This is the list of jobs to do before the hull fabrication will be considered done. Once these jobs are completed, the hull will be sent away for grit-blasting and painting.

Job Status
Weld tangs on to the deck to take the gas bottle locker. No longer required
Fabricate and fit the straps to hold the lead ballast in place. Postpone until fitout
Fabricate and fit the fill-in gussets around the propellor. Done!
Fit the rubbing strakes. Postpone until fitout
Fit the chainplates. Done!
Cut the holes for the cabin vents. Done!
Widen the aft side decks. Done!
Cut the holes for the scuppers. Done!
Move the starboard wheelhouse door. Done!
Fabricate and fit the pad for the mainsheet/control winch. Postpone until fitout
Cut out the openings in the rear of the wheelhouse. Done!
Cut the hole for the mast wiring. Postpone until fitout
Cut the hole for the anchor chainpipe. Postpone until fitout
Drill holes for the cleats and bollards. Postpone until fitout
Drill holes for the tracks and control blocks. Postpone until fitout
Fit the bow thruster tube. Done!
Fit the stern tube. Done! (for now)
Fit the rudder tube. Done!
Fabricate and fit the swim platform. Done!
Fabricate and fit the davits. Postpone until fitout
Fit the anode bolts. Done!
Fit the compression post gussets. Done!
Weld in the portlight (window) frames. Done!
Ensure all portlights and hatches fit. In progress…
Ensure there is no movement in the deck. In progress…
