Oh, what a difference a shed makes. My last yacht was built in the open for a while before moving it into a shed. This time around I decided that I’d start in the shed, and considering Melbourne weather I think it would be hard to do it any other way. After a lot of searching, we found this factory when it was still being built. Internally, it is just long enough to hold the boat when completed, and the roller door has about 4cm to spare in width.
The inside was basically an empty shell, with some office space and basic facilities. From previous experience we decided to seal the floor with paint. This industrial floor paint makes the floor easier to maintain, and reduces concrete dust.
